The kintetsu limited Express from Kyoto to Kintetsu Nara station is a great option. Nara station is quite a bit further to the west and to get the full exposure to the deer it’s best to walk amongst them which is easier from kintetsu.

Very very cool sightseeing limited express train from Nara to Kyoto.  This train has quite a few seating options, even accommodating larger groups and it has a food and beverage car.  Very cool and modern amenities in an awesome vintage exterior.
