My first ever Sakura - finally back in Tokyo

I have been in Florida for more than two months.

I have an aging family member (she turned 90 while I was there) and she is dealing with the all too common issues of dementia and the confusion and anguish it brings.  This is a journey I would wish on no one … the burden and stress on caregivers is draining to say the least but I feel I have a simplified plan setup now with nurses and automation coupled with remote support that will make things flow a little more smoothly for what time is left … I hope.

While there I was able to spend a little time with my lawyers in Japan and have mapped out an approach to give me a business manager visa which will allow for longer term stays in Japan.  Either that or I keep traveling for 180 days every year which is an option but I also want another property in the city with all its conveniences and amenities.  I do love my house in the mountains by the sea but it does present some logistical issues.  They will become less of a challenge as my Japanese language skills improve but I also really enjoy the Japanese city life so Kyoto … here I come.
