I had purchased a Dell Inspiron before I began my trip to Asia but it was damaged in just over a year (with very minor use) and Dell has been very uncooperative in dealing with the issue even though the laptop was purchased with card which provides an additional 12 months warranty.
This new MacBook Air 15 inch with M3 is far superior in construction to the cheaper plastic of the Dell and while I have always been a windows user this laptop has allowed me to install excel as an app and it functions incredibly well plus I get all the seamless integration with my iPhone and iPads. While this costs more than double the Inspiron costs it is a better fit for the traveling lifestyle.
The last thing you need is to overcharge or destroy any of these devices with incorrect electrical current. This little inverter has been my go to device all over Japan and Mongolia with their non U.S. voltages and I will continue to rely on it when I hit Thailand soon.
I will also be buying another on of these to keep in my home a Japan permanently for when I am there which my American bough computer and phone and tablets. It is not just a an adapter it functions more like an inverter and gives me safe current and voltage for all the devices I absolutely rely on.
